Drowned Hopes is a Side Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Drowned Hopes side mission.

Location: Camp Nowhere
Quest Giver: Corend (Rumor Talker)
Quest Level: Level 22
Requirement: Locate the quest start in the open world at Carja Camp, or alternatively listen to the Rumor by talking to Corend
Reward: 5500 XP, 2 Skill Points, Weapon “Guardian Tripcaster”
Mission Info: A Carja expedition is combing a lake in No Man’s Land for ancient relics. What could they have unearthed?

-Talk to the Carja Scholar
Head to the location marked on the map and talk to Scholars at Carja Camp.
They falsely believe the Relic they found was a tray, but Aloy figures out it is part of a weapon and that wakes her curiosity. Now you will have 2 locations you can choose from, but you will have to do them both anyway. We will start with the machines.

-Kill the Machines / Investigate the Submerged Ruins
Head to the digging site and take care of the machines there. Just a few Snapmaws.After killing the machines go for a dive and search the sunken ship to find your first Security Console which will grant you your first Vault Key.

-Search the Ruins for a Security Console
Now head to the second location and climb the building with a broken roof. Inside the flooded building you will find the second security console and with that the second Vault Key. You will also receive a set of coordinates where you will have to head next.

-Go to the Coordinates for the Console /Seach the Ruins for a Security Console
Enter the Ruins by diving into the facility.

-Just a few rooms later you will find your third Console and the third Vaulty Key. Once again you will receive coordinates.

-Search the Ruins for the Mobile Cover System
Navigate through the area to the very south until you find a cave, followed by an entrance to the ruins. There you will find 3 locks for your Vault Key. Inside you will find the Mobile Cover System needed for the mission.

-Return to the Carja Scholars / Craft the Guardian Tripcaster
Head back to Scholars and after the cutscene craft the Guardian Tripcaster.
